Soft-centred Hammers

Reading 1 West Ham 0

We're on the train to a New year break in Cornwall for this one, though we do see lots of West Ham fans getting off at Reading. Luckily I don't join them as losing to the league's bottom side isn't good enough. MOTD reveals a muffed backpass from Collins lets in Pogrebynak after five minutes and then we're chasing the gamer. Good to see Collison and Vaz Te back on the pitch, though Vaz Te, on as a sub, misses a fantastic headed chance late on. Collins and Collison also have efforts saved while Reading hit the bar. We always seem to lose at Reading and it's surely our latest bogey ground.

Twenty three points is still a good total but it's one win in eight and we're looking behind us. Matt's text sums up the gloom. "Giving soft goals away + total lack of cutting edge + no reliable goalscorer = relegation." Don't think it's that bad yet, but Norwich now becomes a must win game.
